Yetunde Lawal is a Senior Database Engineer at Duck Creek Technologies, where she has served since August 2021. In this role, she designs, implements, and manages highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise database platforms that support mission critical insurance technology solutions. Her responsibilities include database architecture, performance optimization, data security and compliance, automation, capacity planning, and the implementation of high-availability and disaster-recovery frameworks to ensure operational resilience and business continuity.
She brings over ten years of progressive experience delivering robust SQL Server–based database solutions across complex production environments. Her strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills enable her to rapidly understand business requirements and align database strategies with end-user and organizational needs.
Prior to joining Duck Creek Technologies, Yetunde was a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), USA, where she managed enterprise-scale database systems supporting financial markets and trading operations. At ICE, she played a key role in performance tuning, security hardening, system reliability, and the implementation of high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions in a highly regulated environment.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Database Engineer with Strategic Link Consulting, a Loan Management System provider, where she delivered database management and availability solutions to support critical financial applications.
Yetunde also brings valuable business and customer centric experience from her early career with leading financial institutions, including Oceanic Bank PLC, Guaranty Trust Bank Nigeria, and First Bank PLC, where she served as Head, Customer Service Relationship Management across multiple states in Nigeria.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, and a Member of the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, further strengthening her expertise in data driven decision making and advanced analytics.
